BCA·BT | Medical · Engineering · Computer Science · Law & Justice | 32.8
BCA | Science (AAST) | 30.8
BCA·BT | Business (ABF) · Fin Tech | 29.8
BT | Commercial Art | 28.2
BCA | Visual Art · Music (AVPA) | 27.9
BT | Aerospace | 27.4
BCA·BT | Culinary · Culinology · Auto Engineering · Fashion Design · Digital Media | 23.9

English Version
Hello, this is Master Klass.
The question parents ask us most often is a simple one: "Can my child make it with where they are now?"
Master Klass has spent 18 years collecting practice test records and admissions outcomes from our BCA·BT prep students. This post looks at the most recent season — 2025. Those students prepared last summer and fall and received their results this spring, so their situation is the closest match to students preparing right now.
All scores below are out of 40 questions, with the accuracy rate in parentheses.
Target Scores by Academy
Across all admitted BCA·BT students, the season average was 27.7 out of 40 (69%). This is not a single good day — it is the average of every practice test they took from summer through fall.
The bar differs by academy.
Group | Academy | Season Average |
BCA·BT | Medical · Engineering · Computer Science · Law & Justice | 32.8 (82%) |
BCA | Science (AAST) | 30.8 (77%) |
BCA·BT | Business (ABF) · Fin Tech | 29.8 (75%) |
BT | Commercial Art | 28.2 (71%) |
BCA | Visual Art · Music (AVPA) | 27.9 (70%) |
BT | Aerospace | 27.4 (69%) |
BCA·BT | Culinary · Culinology · Auto Engineering · Fashion Design · Digital Media | 23.9 (60%) |
* Theatre (AVPA) and some BT programs were left out because we do not have enough data on them.
Medical, Engineering, Computer Science and Law & Justice set the highest bar. Their admitted students averaged 32.8 out of 40 — above 80% accuracy — across the whole season. If your child is aiming at these, the goal is to hold 32 or higher all season, not to hit it once. Science sits near 31, Business and Fin Tech near 30.
The hands-on and technical programs admitted students who averaged around 24. That is more than nine points below the top group. Once the academy is chosen, the target score is set with it. Rather than a vague "work hard," prepare against the number that belongs to your academy.
(Engineering, Computer Science and the BT programs are based on the two most recent seasons.)
What Matters More Than Getting In
The real value of BCA·BT prep is not the admission letter. It is that a student prepared for a demanding, high-stakes test in 7th or 8th grade.
Even a student who ends up at their public high school starts from a different place. They have wrestled with hard problems, held to a months-long study plan, and sat through a real exam. Ninth grade begins on different footing.
The biggest obstacle for students starting SAT prep is not ability — it is that they have never prepared for a major exam before. Not knowing what to do, when to start, or what to change when scores stall costs them the first few months.
And the BCA·BT process mirrors college admissions almost exactly: testing, applications, teacher recommendations, interviews. A student who has been through all four once in middle school is not learning them for the first time at 17.
Admission is a single outcome; the experience is used for the next four years.
About This Data
These figures come from our own students' practice test records matched with where they enrolled. Enrollment is based on the school on file with the academy, so students who left us after being admitted are not counted. BCA and BT both weigh transcripts, essays, recommendations and interviews alongside the entrance test, so a score alone does not decide admission.
